25 Wherefore putting away lying, speak every man truth with his neighbour: for we are members one of another. 26 Be ye angry, and sin not: let not the sun go down upon your wrath: 27 Neither give place to the devil.  Ephesians 4:25-27 (KJV)

Hell hath no fury like me being pissed off. I mean REALLY pissed off. I was soo angry that I was shaking and I was literally trying to figure out how to get money to get on a plane and handle some business. It was in that moment that Eph 4:27 came into my spirit “Neither give place to the devil.”

My anger turned to disappointment in my reaction to the situation; I was trying to reason with someone who was not like me, whose values and beliefs were different, but in still they won because they got me to come to their level.

We are to operate in excellence at all times and believe me it is a struggle for me daily; because I am still a work in progress and I NEVER want to miss an opportunity for people to see Christ in me. In the end I apologized to the person, not because I was wrong regarding the situation; but I was wrong for my reaction and response to the situation. By doing so she was not able to see Christ and desire a change in her situation.

I am grateful for insight and knowledge and I know that this walk is going to have challenges and God is still working to perfect me; and look forward to the opportunity to react appropriately the next time.

Do you still have “trigger” buttons? What are they and how are you working to minimize them?
